I’m a writer and filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC.
HERE’S MY REEL
As a filmmaker, I make narrative and avant-garde films and music videos. As a writer, I’ve published short stories, essays, and reviews. I’ve also written novels, feature screenplays, and film theory that are just sitting on my computer (Click Email if you want to read them).
I got my BFA in Film Production (and minor in Literature) from the University of British Columbia in 2018 and my MA in Cinema Studies from UBC in 2026. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Contemporary Arts from Simon Fraser University.
I’ve been in Telluride’s Student Symposium, VIFF’s Catalyst Program, and had my work shown in festivals across the country and my writing published in magazines distributed all over North America.
I’m developing a feature film with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

Kylie V is a singer-songwriter who makes incredible heartfelt music that can be as enormous or personal as anything out there. Solace is one of my favourite songs of theirs. Incredibly catchy, gorgeous instrumentals, that move into that amazing choral section at the end. It’s everything they do best. My original idea for this video would have had closeups of guitars and drums fading in over Kylie’s face as well but on set I realized how captiviting it is just to look at someone’s face. I love that idea for music videos, just the artist’s face, a netural background, 1 or 2 visual ideas and the song. I think you can really get to know Kylie and their work with this video.
